Now Trending....Is Hip Hop destroying the youth?

Hip Hop has been a Catalyst in fighting the good fight for a couple of decades now, but has the voice of the people suddenly been turned against the people? Click read more to find out!

This is a VERY special Blog. I want to explore a highly misunderstood topic that, quite frankly, is in dire need of being explored. First, let's play the numbers game:

(taken from a study that used "Popular" Music Videos. Credit: http://www.webmd.com/baby/news/20030303/does-rap-put-teens-at-risk )
***After studying 522 black girls between the ages of 14 and 18 from non-urban, lower socioeconomic neighborhoods, researchers found that compared to those who never or rarely watched these videos, the girls who viewed these gangsta videos for at least 14 hours per week were far more likely to practice numerous destructive behaviors. Over the course of the one-year study, they were:

* Three times more likely to hit a teacher
* Over 2.5 times more likely to get arrested
* Twice as likely to have multiple sexual partners
* 1.5 times more likely to get a sexually transmitted disease, use drugs, or drink alcohol.

"What is particularly alarming about our findings is that we didn't find an association with just violence or one or two risky behaviors," says researcher Ralph J. DiClemente, PhD, of Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. "We found an association with a string of these behaviors."

Quite startling, if you ask me. After reading this report - among others- I shifted my attention to what is going on in the world, not just Music. Let me tell you. I noticed things I never did before. little Kids ranging from ages 4 to 15 actually walk around PROMOTING these "Artists" we are over subjected to; The foulest, most sexist and down right ignorant "Choruses" these kids were repeating was unlike anything I had ever witnessed before. These children chanted "Oh Let's Do It" "My Humps" "Tik Tok" "Successful" "The Brain" and even more! I was SHOCKED!

Another thing I noticed is the roles have shifted in the family structure; parents are no longer parents. Their children seem to pretty much act like the parent as the true parent stands by and allows destruction to be sown before their very eyes. They attack their parents, call their parents out of name; Sex is only the tip of the iceberg.

I thought to myself: Are these carefully planned plots made in whole by The Governments Counter Revolutionary branches? Are we really purposefully being dumbed down to serve someone else's sick agenda?
My search found me scouring through Books, Rap CDs, Websites and even Youtube! I was desperate for answers, AND I FOUND THEM!
I want you guys to check out this video before I move on any further:

After viewing that video(Hopefully you checked out the subsequent videos), we can begin to understand a little better how music is shifted from being FOR THE PEOPLE to being AGAINST THE PEOPLE!!!
Far too many people overlook the importance of Symbols in our daily living and how Symbols can and DO influence how we think/feel. Don't think it's real? think about the golden arches of McDonalds, that very simple symbol is enough to make one suddenly think, I WANT FOOD, McDonalds sounds good, etc. etc... I could get VERY DEEP into the subject of symbols, but we won't do so in this post.

Hip Hop, once sang odes of revolution. Groups like Public Enemy were once at the forefront of Hip Hop and right around the time the Rodney King beatings happened the people had Public Enemy on the radio and it inspired revolutions and even riots. Later artists like Tupac spoke frankly about the way music was being raped and even went as far as to declare himself Don Killuminati (which means The Don of Killing The Illuminati) Still think I'm bluffing?
We could get into the deaths of our leaders too if we wanted to truly exploit this topic; but if I did all the work for you then how would you be inspired to study further into the subjects? Therefore, I will leave that up to you to get deeper in to it.

How many of you have heard of Professor Griff and The Black Dot? I think it's about time for another vid:

this vid seems to spell out what else is going on. The Black Dot is one of the most spiritual teachers in Hip Hop. Confusion is the main point of the above video, this is what is destroying our youth, CONFUSION!

Wocka Flocka Flame a talentless so called "artist" stated "MCs with lyrics aint go not money" We all know it is a HUGE problem when MCs are coming out saying that they don't have no rhymes, these same MCs are mentally destroying the youth with their talentless chant music and oversexed music videos. As you saw in my Jay-Z Reasonable Doubt REVIEW Jay-Z used to be a lyrical dude and was able to sell records being a Lyrical MC. Today's Jay-Z doesn't even sound like he tries anymore... Isn't it a veterans duty to ensure the art remains pure? Why do we see so many veterans turning their backs on the true craft of the art in exchange for money? Why do we see these so called vets exploiting the current generation and sowing confusion and chaos in their minds?

Hip Hop is in many ways destroying the youth, but Hip Hop doesn't hold the sole blame for this! It's our problem as well. We sat back and watched as all these talentless Brainwashing drones took over the game and morphed it so many times that we can barely even recognize Hip Hop anymore.
I hear them talking, they went as far as to say Lil Wayne is a better lyricist than NaS! Believe it or not they even said Canibus was one of the weakest MCs in Hip Hop History! FOOLS!!! FOOLS!

The answer to the questions I have posed our within the mind. Once we recognize we are the true holders of power - even as stated in The Constitutional Bill Of Rights - then we can all come together and make the difference OR we can continue to let such things as The Patriot Act and Controlled Media decide how things go for us!

YOU DECIDE!

PEACE after WAR
